Converting CDs to MP3

  1. Open music Match. Go to file then convert. In the left side of the convert box will be the music that you want to convert. Choose the CD you want to convert or the folder it is in. Highlight all files you want to convert or select all. Make sure source data type is wav and destination data is mpr cbr. You can set the rate between 64 and 128. 64 is the best . Gives best quality at the highest compression. Then select a destination folder. It is best to keep your converted mp3 files in a separate folder than the one it came from. Click start to convert the files.

After converting the files you can then burn them to a mini cd. You can hold up to 180mb on one cd. When converted the average mp3 song is around 3mb so should be able to hold about a 100 songs or more.

Use Nero to create a data CD.

  1. Open Nero. Follow wizard though these steps.

Click Finish.

On the right side you will see a file browser. You must open the folder that contains the converted files. (MP3 files) Next chose each file you want to add to the cd and drag it to the left side. Watch the MB bar at the bottom of the screen when you get about 160mb stop and burn the disk.

Choose file the write cd and follow general instructions. Wait for the cd to burn.
